Never use fast shipping on DX.com!

I haven't use my printer sens i got problem with the Z axis holder... so i order it from DX.com in aliminium.

I also order new heatbed kit and some cables that are to short. and order it with fast shippment.

and today it is 2013-11-14 and i can't track it with swidish post yet so it have't recive to sweden yet...

so i ask frendly if it was possible to get giftcard on the shipment. but no.. and why?
becurse of it can take up to 14 days she said ( on the site it said 10 days) and the start shipping it on 04?

Before the upgrade, the bes layer high I culd use was 0.25 mm if i try using 0.2 It's only get right to hell.

and now I succeeded on fist layer 0.05 and 0.1 without a problem! i will try 0.01 later.

but 0.05 is awesome!

Funny thing with building a own 3D printer

When you build it for first time or rebuild it. after upgrade to Reprap Air. every thing just get bad!

the Z motor sounds like shit and don't move so i turn down the speed to solve it.
so now i can print again but the z axis wobbling so badly so everything look like crap :P.

so no the last 5 thing i have been printing are to fix the Z axis problem, so it's go better and better.
i have the motors under the axis so i gonna try nut holder for Z-axis, I hope that can fix the wobbling problem even more.

I have print holder for the Slide part, and also axis top stabilizer with bearing.

I hope i can be proud for the printer some day. right now i has take like 3-4 month to with trying to fix manny manny problems.



one interesting problem i have was.. it's working perfect for 2 days and from no ware it scale every thing down to the half and I still don't know way... but it did and after that i get other problems. so at that time I thinking to give up the reprap project and maybe sell every thing. but after a week i think. NO!

I have working late nights on this Sh*t and can't give up now.

Heat bed experiment

Result of the Bitcoin mining heat bed.

Not working as i hope. i have a aluminium plate and 4 USB bitcoin mining, and a glass on it, the glass temp are on around 30 C. and that not eunuch.

so maybe i need 4 more to increase the temperature. but i will say that i have free electric to the 3D printer. i have Bitcoin mining at 1,2 ghash and 4 usb stick. so i thing thats will give me more BTC then the printer use Power.

I will try to get 4 More usb mining and se if that can increase it more.

I will keep you up to date ;).

in fast calculate i think the BTC mining will give 14 USD in a month.

Upgrade to Prusa Air

I have use my RepRap prusa for 3 month and have stability issiuse.. so it's time to upgrade to Prusa AIR.

I gonna use MDF 10MM. 

I use 3MM CNC.

and I have use this skiss:

but I have change the skiss so it will fit 10mm.

I will relese the DXF file when I have all part and see so it's working.

For all Reprap user with Begginer problems!

Hey, this summer i get the greate Idea of bulding a reprap... ofcurse i meet som truble! a lot of truble, my problem was I allwys will be done fast.. and the project will be crap.

BUT! some tips!
If you have problem with:
Layers,the first layer are good but the rest will move from the first layer and be like two diffrent positions!

Problems with motor heat!
problems with motors sound, it sounds and dosent move.

My tip!

Look up your accelration, it can be to high. repetier / slic3r have defoult acceleration on 3000 as are to much. try 1000-2000, if the motor try to go up in high speed to fast the belt will ripp over and the layer moves ( and layer one are always slower).


also if your motors are to heat try to turn the driver down. you do that by scruw on the ramps motor drivers. the little smal screw.

and the belt can't be to stretched. that will get problem with the motor gear teeth.

I have movde to a new appartment so the project are waiting.
But i build my own REPRAP prusa!
i will post some picture on it later. It's using Arduino MEGA and it's working but it can be better.

you can build a 3D printer around 250 USD if you get all the plastic part for a good price. ( ask me  =)  )

I'm inherently in stockholm and wanna do some thing fun with The place i live in I start thinking about setting up a larm as sending a SMS every time someone open the door. but i found out it's shuld cost more then it's fun.

But i still have 3 arduinos, wirless transmitter and reciver in 433 Mhz and also ethernet shild.

How it will work:
